    Responsibilities:

     

    • Responsibility for the accounting (full financial statements) and reporting actively involving regular interaction with various stakeholders:
      • Client – General Manager
      • Auditors
      • Banks
      • FINMA (Swiss Regulator)
      • Insurance/Reinsurance Companies
      • Shareholders and Board members
      • Tax authorities
    • Leadership and steering of the accounting function supporting the Financial Controller as required
    • Review of management accounts, trial balances and financial statements to IFRS standards
    • Collaborate and guide team to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of contractual obligations
    • Attend Board Meetings, including the presentation of accounting, investment and company secretarial matters to the Board with the General Manager and Financial Controller
    • Produce budgets, cash reporting, forecasts and ad hoc reports for clients
    • Responsible for management of the day to day cash management, inwards funds, outward payments and treasury including review and releasing of reports prepared by team members
    • Professionally, efficiently and accurately manage all inward and outward communications
    • Deal with team members’ development including training, development, appraisals
    • Play role in ensuring the accounting department follows the Office Procedures Manual and Aon’s Code of Conduct
    • Attend and participate in Team meetings

     

    Requirements:

     

    • Mimum 5 years of complex accounting experience
    • Knowledgeof  financial technical accounting
    • Fleuncy in English and French
    • Knowledge of Microsoft tools Word (good) and Excel (very good) in addition to exposure to at least one accounting software packag
    • ACCA/ACA or equivalent accountancy qualification will be a plus
    • Experience in the Re-Insurance industry is a plus
    • Swiss GAAP or IFRS knowledge is a plus
    • Good knowledge of swiss taxes would be an asset
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • An ability to continually seek to improve
    • A natural thirst for development of yourself and your team members
