POSITION SUMMARY

 

Aon is seeking a candidate who thrives in a fast paced environment and works well with a team under pressure. Analysts with Aon will achieve valuable experience working for a global treasury department and will gain insight into Aon’s culture and businesses while developing critical skills necessary for future success in the corporate environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and manage Aon’s intercompany loan and CAT bond portfolio.
  • Assists in all initiatives around tax planning and intercompany lending by helping with successful execution of refinancing projects & restructuring projects while establish new ICLs
  • Timely and accurately enter new ICLs into the WallStreet system.
  • Document required approvals for ICLs and maintain the loan agreement database.
  • Confirm all ICL wires are successfully set up and processed.
  • Provide monthly reporting to business units and respond to any queries regarding ICLs.
  • Assist in the management of accounting for intercompany loans
  • Coordinate with the accounting department on monthly accounting entries relating to ICLs and respond accordingly to any queries raised
  • Analyse ICL opening balances including interest payments and accruals impacting the balance sheet and P&L, ensuring that all related accounting entries are correct
  • Coordinate with the accounting department on monthly accounting entries relating to ICLs and respond accordingly to any queries raised
  • Coordinate and liaise with multiple groups in Treasury to build data to set up new loans and test any accounting rules in the WallStreet system related to new loans
  • Assist and facilitate audits performed by corporate or external regulatory agencies where necessary
  • Adhere and maintain policies and standard operating procedures that sync up with all compliance audit standards and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance requirements.
  • Special projects as assigned

 EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance preferred or alternatively commensurate work experience Prior Intercompany Loan experience is a plus

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION

 

Detail oriented/organizational skills and excellent communication and problem solving skills

The ability to work as an integral part of a team, fostering teamwork, as well as work independently or with minimal super vision Ability to work overtime if needed – especially year end

Computer literate and technically savvy – ability to rapidly acclimate to new operating systems

Self-motivation, ability to prioritize tasks and work to meet tight deadlines

Studying towards accountancy qualification / good knowledge of treasury accounting
